Robert Gleason's brilliant book End of Days warns of just how close we are to nuclear apocalypse. Could it really happen? Listen as he discusses what is happening right now between Israel and Iran, and how unstable our world is becoming. Does he think that Israel could attack Iran on its own? Will it? Robert Gleason is one of the great experts on geopolitical dangers and world instability. Here, he discusses the research behind his brilliant book End of Days, now available in paperback. Former Secretary of Defense and senator William S. Cohen said of the book, "you'll race wildly through it to find the nearest exit--only to realize that End of Days is not a dream. It's just tomorrow arrive a day early." Senator Byron Dorgan says, "Gleason's powerful, compelling book is a stark reminder of the peril we face unless we find a way to destroy nuclear weapons before they destroy us."

Host: George Noory
Guests: Varla Ventura, Open Lines

In the first half of the program, author Varla Ventura discussed vampires, werewolves, banshees, and other terrifying entities. Ventura credited John William Polidori's "The Vampyre," published 70 years before Bram Stoker's Dracula, for laying the basic framework for the vampire stories that followed. It was conceived on the same night as Mary Shelley's Frankenstein after a night spent listening to ghost stories at Lord Byron's house, she revealed, noting how the story reads like a clinical study of the vampiric personality. Ventura spoke briefly about psychic vampires and their first mention in the book House of the Vampire. She commented on contemporary vampire pop culture and how the vampire mythos has been transformed through modern books and movies. "I do think that if Dracula were to run into one of the characters from Twilight, he would probably put a stake through their heart," she joked.

Ventura turned next to werewolves, pointing out that 'lycanthropy' is an actual mental illness characterized by a patient's belief that he or she has been transformed into an animal. She traced the werewolf legend back several hundred years, speculating about their association with full moons and the folkloric roots of using silver items against them. Ventura said the definitive work on the topic of werewolves was done by Sabine Baring-Gould believed, a man best known for writing the hymn "Onward Christian Soldiers." She also talked about banshees, or Irish ghosts whose appearance portends death. They are usually the spirits of women who died tragically and often attach themselves to a family, passing from one generation to the next, Ventura noted. They do not cause death, only foretell of it, she added.

-------------------------------------------------

During Open Lines, Bill in Tucson, Arizona, shared a strange experience he had while living in Ireland. He recalled being awakened late one night by what sounded like a horse stomping around the backyard, but saw nothing when he peered out the open bedroom window. Bill said he alerted his girlfriend, who curiously would not get up and approach the window. According to Bill, the next day at breakfast his girlfriend announced that her father had passed away in the night, a fact confirmed by her sister who had arrived that morning to tell her the news. She didn't come to the window because she believed the sound was a banshee come to announce her father's death, he explained. Crystal, a self-proclaimed real vampire from Butte, Montana, phoned in to correct the misconception that vampires are evil. Crystal also admitted to feeding on the blood of her boyfriend as well as the energy from storms and sex. Denise in Long Beach, California, told George about the time she was at a high school concert where numerous friends reported seeing and speaking to her—incidents she could not recall. The bizarre explanation came later that evening when Denise bumped into her mirror-image doppelganger in the restroom.

Coast to Coast AM - 09-20-12 - Psychic Intuitions Special

http://www.mediafire.com/?qvhh3gcz6jtvgd3  <--

Host: George Noory
Guests: Jerry Hoskey, Denise Siegel, Matt Fraser, Matthew Stein

This special program featured three psychics, each appearing in separate hours. Intuitive Coach Jerry Hoskey discussed his predictions for earthquakes and solar flares, as well as how our physical fitness is related to our energetic and psychic fitness. Psychic astrologer Denise Siegel shared her insights into the upcoming election, the economy, and civil unrest in America. Psychic medium Matt Fraser talked about how intuition is a key factor in unlocking your own psychic ability, and contacting departed loved ones.

"I think it's likely that, within the next 24 months, we could possibly get a huge earthquake," Hoskey warned during his 2nd hour appearance, suggesting that the tremor could range from "over 7" on the Richter scale and may even reach "10 plus." He was specifically concerned about California or Seattle and that the quake could agitate smaller fault lines which are not currently considered dangerous. According to Hoskey, the earthquake may be the result of the increase in solar activity which is acting as a furnace on the Earth's magma. On the connection between dieting and intuition, Hoskey contended that "diets inherently don't work," because humans, as animals, are hardwired to eat as much as possible.

Recalling her days as a professional astrologer, Siegel observed that, "people would often argue with me because I would be telling them things that hadn't happened yet." Later, she said, they'd contact her with positive feedback and had been converted from "skeptics into believers." Regarding the 2012 presidential election, she predicted that Obama would defeat Romney and that there would be "a lot of unseating of the Republicans" in November. Siegel also lamented that she is having feelings that there will be civil unrest around the election, possibly in Pennsylvania, due to voter suppression. Additionally, she foresees Hilary Clinton not only running for president in 2016, but also winning the election that year.

A multigenerational psychic medium, Fraser shared his insights on intuition as well as the 'other side,' during his 4th hour appearance. "Intuition is the building block for your psychic ability," he mused, noting that everyone uses it, whether they believe in it or not. To that end, Fraser advised that recognition of intuition is the first step in harnessing the ability. Beyond that, he suggested asking small questions as a way of calling upon intuition and to make note of the feeling which follows. While Fraser said that he does not usually receive world predictions from the 'other side,' he did reveal that he has recently been told that the upcoming winter will be particularly harsh for the East Coast.

Solar Storms

In the first hour, engineer and author Mat Stein discussed solar flares, EMPs, and the plausibility of the new TV show Revolution. Based on his research, "extreme geomagnetic storms" appear to hit the Earth every 75 to 90 years and that the planet is overdue for the next blast. "It could be anywhere from the end of the world as we know it," he said, "to the end of human life and mammalian life on the planet." On that note, he was deeply worried about the fate of the planet's nuclear power plants, which are ill equiped for long term power outages. Stein decried the lack of preparation for a solar storm by the American government and power industry, which has the means to safeguard against such an event, but refuses to spend the money on the necessary technology.

Coast to Coast AM - 09-19-12 - Ancient Cataclysms

Coast to Coast AM - 09-19-12 - Ancient Cataclysms

http://www.mediafire.com/?5oazz0j708luzcg  <--

Host: George Noory
Guests: Robert M. Schoch, Daniel Oldis

During the middle two hours, geologist and author Robert M. Schoch, Ph.D. discussed how coronal mass ejections from the sun unleashed discharges upon Earth which destroyed ancient advanced cultures. "There was a major solar outburst, I'm now convinced, at the end of the last Ice Age that really wiped out these early civilizations," Schoch declared. To that end, he noted that ancient hieroglyphs, such as Easter Island's rongorongo script, appear to depict plasma phenomena in the sky as observed by the denizens of Earth. Additionally, Schoch cited ice core studies, lunar materials, and the preponderance of ancient, seemingly abandoned, monuments as evidence for such an event. To that end, he pointed to Turkey's Gobekli Tepe site, which has been dated to this time frame and, he believes, was purposely buried by its creators, as an indication that the ancients tried to protect their civilization from the solar event.

Based on his research, Schoch surmised that these coronal mass ejection events happen roughly every 10,000 years and that the Earth is due to be hit again soon. Should such an event happen, he said, the electrical grid and communication systems on the planet would be crippled. Additionally, "super energetic electrons and protons" would blast the Earth, damaging electronics, and earthquakes as well as volcanic activity would be induced. While Schoch dismissed the idea that the Mayan calendar is an exact prediction of the next coronal mass ejection, he did suggest that the infamous timetable is alluding to such an event. Ultimately, he warned that "any time between now and the next five years, even ten years," the planet could fall victim to the massive solar blast.

Schoch also provided an update on his research into the Sphinx and contended that there "absolutely something under the left paw." He explained that seismic investigation into this anomaly indicates that the chamber is 12 by 9 meters and theorized that there is a cliff base beneath the sands of the Sphinx where a door likely leads into the mysterious structure. Unfortunately, Schoch lamented that the rising water tables in Egypt are now likely flooding the chamber, which makes timely exploration of the find to be of paramount importance. Connecting his Sphinx research with the study of coronal mass ejections, Schoch speculated that the structure was contemporaneous with the Gobekli Tepe monument and depicted a male lion which would indicate a message, of sorts, concerning the sun.

Controlling Dreams

In the first hour, Daniel Oldis talked about his research into lucid dreaming, and his recent work documenting inter-dream communication, where two individuals can send a message from one dreamer to another dreamer through the subconscious realm and the Internet. Explaining that lucid dreams can be observational as well as active, Oldis said that people can use these moments to work through issues such as conquering recurring nightmares or conjuring departed loved ones for a final conversation. "In a sense, you're sort of a God in your own world," he marveled. One method for training to lucid dream, which Oldis shared, was "reality testing." This technique, he said, involves occasionally asking "is this real" while awake, which will become habitual, even when dreaming. As such, one will instinctively ask the question while in a dream state and then realize that they are in a non-reality.

Coast to Coast AM - 09-18-12 - Psych. Drugs - Mental States

http://www.mediafire.com/?301xybrvrd6d1ib  <--

Host: George Noory
Guests: Dr. Peter Breggin, Peter Fairfield

In the first half, author and psychiatrist, Dr. Peter Breggin, discussed the harmful long term effects of psychiatric drugs. The original drug safety studies only last for short periods, but people are told to go on these drugs for months and years, he said. When you stay on these kind of medications for a long time, we're finding a shortened lifespan, particularly from anti-psychotics, which may cut 20 years from a person's life, he detailed. Further, scans and MRIs have revealed that people on long-term psychiatric drugs have brain shrinkage. While the drugs may offer some short term relief for patients, "if you're looking at actual improvement in mental and emotional health...all the evidence points toward decline in quality of life," for those who stay on them long term, he stated.

A new study has revealed that people taking SSRI antidepressants had more than a 70% increase in driving accidents, and people taking 'benzos' (tranquilizers) had more than a 50% increase, Breggin reported. He also singled out the vexing problem of psychiatric drugs increasingly prescribed to both children and the elderly. Symptoms for children on these meds include Tardive dyskinesia, obesity, and premature sexual development, while the elderly in nursing homes are often placed on anti-psychotics as a way to control their behavior, even though it shortens their lifespan. Additionally, Dr. Breggin talked about difficulties in withdrawing from the medications, as well as how many states have put in place "involuntary outpatient" programs, where people are forced to take drugs, instead of going to mental hospitals.

--------------------------------------

In the latter half, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Peter Fairfield, talked about his work connecting people with the multi-dimensional wisdom of their body, as well as dissolving emotional and physical pain. He suggests that we can wake our whole being up by "going into all the places in the body where our traumas and habitual patterns are held," and begin to loosen or open them up, to reveal a calming innate presence that is connected to the now. One simple method is to breathe into your lower abdomen, which increases neurotransmitters, puts us in touch with our feelings, and enhances the digestive and immune systems, he shared.

Fairfield also spoke about the concept of the heart. The heart comes down from the crown chakra, and has glial cells "that produce electromagnetic frequencies or waves that connect us...so when our heart is open, we connect to life and the universe, and we feel deeply," he explained. Interestingly, he said that "the heart protects itself with openness...when we're open and have the courage to actually see the truth, then the world is open to us as well."

Coast to Coast AM - 09-17-12 - Corporate Takeover & Geopolitics

http://www.mediafire.com/?6se96o9u5qng6i2  <--

Host: George Noory
Guests: Craig Hulet, John Talbott

Analyst of geopolitics and foreign policy, Craig B. Hulet talked about how corporate interests now dominate over governments, and the fallout we're seeing from this around the world. He characterized the US as a surveillance state, and bemoaned the loss of personal liberties; yet the public, suffering from the recession, has not made much of an outcry, he observed. Regarding military conflicts, America will go to war "over and over again, for only one purpose, and that is the self-interest of the wealthy, and most powerful corporations," he commented. In the years to come, Hulet believes we'll see a violent reaction of citizens against the corporate government that is "as feudal as anything the Middle Ages ever produced." Of the 100 largest economies in the world, 51 of them are corporations, not nation states, he added.

Discussing the recent attack in Libya, he suggested that it was well planned and was essentially unrelated to the controversial American film that has been protested there. The Muslim people are objecting to the American corporate government's control in their region, he argued. Archer Daniels Midland and Monsanto, and a host of other US and western corporations, are buying up land in North Africa, running the locals off, and planning enormous farms and use of infrastructure there, he reported. Further, he said that military hardware that's being pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan is going to Italy (so that the US can be prepared to invade North Africa via Libya) and Uzbekistan (to serve as a buffer between Russia and China, when the US takes over Iran).

Hulet's vision of America in the next 15 years is as a kind of "high tech medieval feudalism based on the ancient principles of mercantilism. There'll be no free enterprise, but there will be a bizarre kind of managed competition. But for the folks down here at the bottom, there's nothing more autocratic than the corporatism that the largest multi-nationals practice." This corporate government has every corner of the world mapped out for their control, and is capable of crushing anyone who gets in their way, he lamented.

Financial Analysis & Advice

First hour guest, author and former investment banker, John Talbott, talked about the ongoing economic crisis, and how to protect yourself financially. After the 2008 collapse, the banks should have been restructured, he declared. But instead, the sanctity of every dollar invested in the banks was preserved, and now everybody else is suffering, with the economy swimming in debt, he said. The largest US banks manage some two trillion in assets each, but going into the crisis they were leveraged some 30 to 1 on their money, he pointed out. One suggestion he made, is for people to look closely at their bank statements, as sometimes fees are added on without their knowledge or consent, and many customers just let this slip by.

Coast to Coast AM - 09-16-12 - NSA Whistleblower

Coast to Coast AM - 09-16-12 - NSA Whistleblower

http://www.mediafire.com/?nrah2e9hemsbwco  <--

Host: George Knapp
Guests: Thomas Drake

George Knapp was joined by former senior executive of the NSA, Thomas Drake, who discussed his decision to blow the whistle on the agency's Trailblazer Project and illegal spying operations, which led to his being charged under the Espionage Act. He explained that the Trailblazer Project was designed by the NSA to respond to the massive amount of new data being generated by the advent of the digital age. According to Drake, Trailblazer was launched in the Spring of 2000 and, following 9/11, generated billions of dollars for NSA contractors because it was seen as the "flagship program" for harnessing intelligence information, despite having numerous faults. Chillingly, he observed that corporate interests, which worked with the NSA, viewed 9/11 as a "gift," since they could reap massive profits from the War on Terror.

Drake revealed that his concerns with the NSA's conduct began when the agency rejected his proposal for an alternative spying program, known as "ThinThread," which was designed to safeguard the privacy of US citizens. Following that, his colleagues began to question why they were being tasked with spying on Americans using a "super top secret" program called "Stellar Wind." Drake's attempts to determine the legality of the program were thwarted by the NSA and he was subsequently told that the spying had been approved "by the White House" and to stop asking questions about it. In light of these unconstitutional actions, Drake served as a witness to Congressional and DoD investigations into NSA malfeasance, which led to his responsibilities with the agency being dramatically curtailed.

Following a revelatory New York Times article on NSA spying, the agency launched a massive investigation into finding the sources behind the story. Since Drake was privy to the secrets revealed in the article, he became a suspect and the target of intense surveillance "on a scale that I would never want any American to experience." Faced with no other outlet to hold the government accountable, Drake decided to contact the media with his story. This decision resulted in the government indicting him for ten crimes, including the felonious mishandling of classified documents. "I had become an enemy of the state," he declared, noting that the government planned to make an example of him to stop future whistleblowers. Ultimately, the case against Drake "collapsed under the weight of truth," when the government dropped all 10 counts and he accepted a plea deal for a "very minor misdemeanor."

Host: John B. Wells
Guests: Bret Lueder, Edward Farhi

Joining John B. Wells, ufologist Bret Lueder discussed the facts, figures, people, and places that make up the modern scope of ufology, as well as shared his own experiences and sightings. First hour guest, MIT physicist Edward Farhi, commented on the science of time travel, such as depicted in the new film, Looper.
